WINTER OAK
As dawn broke, the landscape transformed into a pristine canvas of white, blanketed by ten inches of freshly fallen snow. This was the moment I'd been waiting for—the chance to capture the majestic fourth-largest oak tree in New Jersey, adorned in its winter splendor. I laced up my snowshoes, breaking through the untouched powder, each step a quiet crunch against the morning's crystalline silence. The tree stood before me, its weathered branches now draped in a delicate cloak of snow, branches etched against the soft, luminous light of early morning.
